with a rag?

Terry McAdams, In an earlier post you mentioned applying epoxy with a rag. Is this like putting a stain or finish to wood, just rubbing and wiping smooth? every time I get certain areas near smooth I encounter fiberglass. Reapplying epoxy over a large area results in the ugly surface posted elsewhere. That requires more sanding which exposes more glass. I think it may be temperature related but if the rag application works for a near finish coat....any "special" type of rag? Don't tell me Terrycloth.... RogerJ
