Re: Richmond VA

Talked to my mom and dad who live there and they said "I have never seen rain like that before". Shockoe Slip is a mess of epic proportions. There are a lot of small buisnesses there that probably will not survive. Most people felt pretty safe there because the flood wall has prevented any major flooding since it was finished in the early 90's. I can remember it was a regular occurance every 2-3 years there was flooding of some sort before the wall was built. As a matter of fact there was a club called "The Flood Zone" in the slip up until it was sold in the late 90's. It was shocking to see the devastation on national television and recognizing most of the places the footage was shot. My heart goes out to everyone affected and we're praying Francis gives them a break.
