Gas Pedal footbraces

Does anyone know how to convert the feathercraft sliding footbraces to the new gas pedal type footbraces? Years ago I installed the sliding adjustable footbraces with large rudder on my Cape Charles 17. I bought the feathercraft rudder system which is still available at CLC.
