I to have done a ton of woodworking. Mostly triming out doors and windows. Oak and other hardwoods in churches and other commercial buildings. I do know how to use and sharpen a plane. Have used them to final fit the mitre joint and other trim fitting. Confession time I used a laminate trimmer (small router) with a carbide bit to trim my deck then ros to finish. I dont know how well this will work with the angle on some kayaks mine is a mill creek and I plan on the rubrails being flush with the deck. P.S this is fast but Kurt still gives me an inferiority complex with his build times.
