Epoxy/Graphite 2nd coat

I have used epoxy mixed with graphite powder on my keel panels (CH16LT) following the initial coat used to fiber glass the hull.

My reasoning is that I can avoid having to sand later (after the epoxy sets) as I will for the first boat in our three boat assembly. I have thus eliminated sanding of a large area if I chose to not sand the epoxy graphite application.

I could chose to sand it and cover it with black paint or varnish.
