Not sure if that's a good idea. Rubbing alchohol is typically 30% water and 70% isopropyl alchohol. Not sure if that's compatible with the epoxy's chemistry.

As mentioned above, I use epoxy to do the same thing. That way I don't have to worry about chemical incompatibilities.
