This would be my second CLC boat. I expect that the MC 13 would be the right width for her. She has only been a kayak once and likes the open cockpit, wide beam style, but a modified CH 14 is a good idea too.

I think the thinner panels will be a necesity. If they are not available in the kit, I will work from plans. I have a very good source of wood a few miles away, so finding occume will not be a problem.

Her paddling will be on tidal creeks and other calm bodies of water on the Eastern Shore of Maryland, so I'm not too worried about durability.
