I just bought a 16LT kit in July and it came with a large manual that was for both kit & plan builders. The first 60 or so pages were totally non-applicable to my situation because they talked about how to cut and assemble parts that were already provided in the kit.
The other thing is the format. There's an awful lot of white space, cartoon cats, builders' boats, etc.
If all the stuff that does not directly apply to building a kit were removed, that manual would get very skinny indeed, but it would still be plenty for building the 16LT.
