not particularly important...no structural difference...

so in my view its about what looks nice to you vs the following practical considerations:

more rounded is 1) less likely to get dinged and nicked by the paddle or other impacts, 2) easier to fibreglass (the cloth lays easier over a more rounded edge), and 3) easier on the knuckles if you bang them while paddling.

less rounded is a bit easier to get a nice uniform radius along the entire length of the boat.

my personnal prefernce is to keep it relatively well radiused cause i don't like the dings.
