So if I take hip braces and install them similar to the picture in your link, but cut a notch out for the sheerclamp (thereby making the hip brace essentially from hull panel to the deck underside) would it still present the same problems? For that matter, if there is sufficient knee brace ability, would hip braces even be necessary?
