Status update

For anyone who's paying attention...

Deck is glassed and looking beautiful. I removed the deckbeam (at the coaming) and so far haven't had any issues. I will be glassing a couple of feet in front of the cockpit on the inside, just to make sure there is enough strength, but it doesn't look like that will be a problem. I've also installed the soft padeyes for my bungie and started building up my hatch lips. I was going to fiberglass but the 2 layers of ply will be enough I think. After that, I'll be finished except for footbrace rails and varnish. (and paddles--laying up the CF shaft tonight hopefully.) Woohoo!
