The reason I said to cut it out with a razor blade now before it gets real hard is that it is a bit tricky for a novice to sand off one layer of glass without going into the wood to the point it discolors from the glue in the inner plies. Not impossible, but tricky. Once you cut it out, feather the edges of the glass by hand with a scraper and sand paper, then cut your glass cloth slightly oversize, epoxy it, scrape the high spot on the edges to get it smooth, then proceed to the next fill coat on the entire boat ( lightly sand the entire boat to ensure the next coat grips well.
