The fore and aft decks will flatten out towards the bow and stern. As to the gap over the carlins, you need enough plywood to cover the carlin area, figure about a 4" overlap. I have to admit that I built from a kit. I started my deck from the cockpit and nailed from the cockpit out. If you planed the sheer clamps properly, the deck can be installed without problems. I've included a photo of my MC15 (almost the same as the MC13) so that you can get a sense of the deck curvature.
