I used Captains on my first build and "Flagship" on #2 (both by Z-Spar). I thinned the Flagship 20% as directed with the thinner specified and sold by Z-Spar (sorry I don't know exactly what it is), but what a great smooth hard finish I got. Flagship apparently also provides 6x the UV protection than "Captains". It is a bit more $, but I will use it again for sure. Applied thin coats using foam brush (side to side and then tipped off lengthwise into the wet edge)
