wood for rowboat
Posted by Matt on Jul 21, 2004
I am building a Cosine Wherry rowboat and I am debating whether to use western red cedar or sitka spruce. The design calls for the wooden strips to be sandwhiched with fiberglass on both sides thus I assume rot is not a porblem. What are the benefits and drawbacks of each type of wood?
