Jim, interesting question. Lee, I appreciate the advice from someone who has a great deal of experience in the art.

I now know NOT to try this at home.

Does anyone out there happen to know why it doesn't work? I am curious, as I am trying to learn as much as I can about the materials used in stitch and glue boatbuilding, as I go.
