paint squibble
Posted by Dennis Rioux on Jun 25, 2004
I put on the first coat of one part polyurethane tonight which means I must be getting close to done. Woo hoo! I think I have a spot with some contamination of some sort. I caught it "opening up" once right after I applied the paint, and then came back to touch it up a few minutes later which I knew would be futile. Indeed, it was so.(Here is a gratuitous photo (gotta love those digital cameras) of the spot. The white is Z Spar high build primer underneath.) Is there anything I can do prior to the next coat to clean this spot up? A little alcohol? I was going to wait until after the second coat to wet sand, but maybe I should do that before the second coat? I appreciate any advice you care to share. Thanks a lot.
Dennis
