I agree with Terry.

The kit and instructions make it possible for complete novices, in boatbuilding AND woodworking to build a boat. With your woodworking experience you have an edge and should be able to make a beautiful craft.

CLC sells an excellent book, the New Kayak Shop and has published a two-part article in Woodenboat magazine (You can order back issues from their site).
