thank you all for explaining why i'm about to build my 1st kayak (chesapeake17lt)... i chose the 'make it in maine at WBC and haul it back to fla' route so it's a project and a vacation... we'll see if there is any tourist time... doubt it after hours of shop time i'm anticipating... i have gotten many gteat tips and creative ideas over the past months reading here at the forum... i'll post some pix of the experience when i return... thanks again to all who have been so encouraging without even knowing it... and it's off to the sanding pits......
