I saw two CLC

Kayaks last weekend at the Duckworks Messabout. A Chesapeake and a Cape Charles. Both had nail heads showing on deck and both were gorgeous.

You can't get ring shank nails back out with out destroying the surface. Countersinking and filling will look worse than the nail heads. Space them evenly, sand them smooth along with the deck and varnish- I can tell you they do not detract from the looks of the boat.
