Kurt and Lee,

How wonderfully timely! All these new yaks hitting the water with many 1st time paddlers (like moi).

I gotta try that rescue - it seems to be best case in calmer waters - like when you dump without a skirt, a paddle float or even a PFD.

Is the wobbliest moment when sitting on the coaming and bringing your legs in? This is where I could see using a float - to help the bracing.

Kurt has a name for everything. What's that rescue called?
