Yes, I did a variant on the tortured ply theme, adding an extra bit at the bow to take the length to 5 metres (14.5 feet). I also added hatches, bulkheads as part of the building process, rudder and decklines. It is the kayak I use all the time now for day and multiday trips.

It is also used for fishing from. Best trip, a 5 day one with my partner in the kayak she built, a Mac50, one fish for lunch and 2 for dinner each day.

I have thought of stretching it a bit more by simply adding to all the length dimensions.
