Rear bulkhead location
Posted by Dave Houser on May 26, 2004
You also want the rear bulkhead very close to the cockpit cutout to facilitate rescues. You will have a much more complete draining of the cockpit with the kayak inverted (like during a t-rescue) when the bulkhead is close to the opening. Time spent pumping out water in rough conditions can be threatening.
