Double Trouble?

Whooeee...! Great looking boat there, bud. But those doubles always scare me, especially with as strong a spirit as Leslie for a co-paddler. Why, the very thought always reminds me of an old Air Force tale...

WWII has ended, and back in the States two hot-rock fighter jock squadron buddies are on base to get in their one hour flying time required per month to stay current as military pilots. They are assigned a B-25, taxi out to the runway, and blast off -- then almost immediately spiral into the trees at the end of the strip. CRUUUUNCH!!!

Later, in the hospital, wrapped head to toe like living mummies, arms and legs in traction, one hollers at the other: "what the hell happened? My takeoff was going perfectly!!" The other replies "well, MY engine sounded rough, so I aborted."
