So a squeegee will work better then a roller and tipping off?

I have a few spots where I was working on something else and had resin left over so I just poured and spread it out on the bottom. Probably a mistake but too late. So now what... should I sand those spots down firs? Fill in around them? ignore them and sand them afterwards?
