Re: Waterproof bulkheads?

If you do not want to sink after capsizing and/or you do not want gear stored in the fore and aft compartments to get wet, you absolutely want to have water-tight bulkheads. Gaps are to be expected. They are easily filled -- on both sides -- using wood-flour thickened epoxy. Mix it to peanut butter consistency and spread it with a tongue-depressor sized wood or plastic paddle. Don't worry, it really is easy. I suggest doing the bottom and sides before installing the deck. Once the deck is installed, turn the boat over and do the top.
