epoxy allergies

And that's why any technique that can reduce the amount of unnecessary epoxy applied to a kayak or glassing application that requires sanding/fairing is worth pursuing. Replacing sanding with scraping wherever possible. Attaching a long hose from shop vac to ROS will remove aerated glass/epoxy from the area being worked long before it can become aerated and exposed to ones eyes. Respirator won't keep dust exposure out of ones eyes and that can be a source of cummulative exposure leading to sensitization.
