RE: Countersinking brass rub strips

Laszlo;

 I have used router bits made of the same material to chuck into a drill press and machine solid blocks of brass to make a handplane. Granted the milling passes were very shallow, but the router bit was no worse for wear when I was done. So, the answer would be an unequivical yes for using those bits on brass.
