The Wooden Boat Festival in Port Townsend

Location: Port Townsend, Washington
Dates: Sep 11, 2009 - Sep 13, 2009

We cap off the West Coast Tour with a booth at the Wooden Boat Festival in Port Townsend, WA.  If you haven't been, Port Townsend knows how to put on a party, especially if wooden boats are involved.  We're there September 11-12-13, with all sorts of boats on display. (Scroll down for a list.)

WE'RE GIVING AWAY A NORTHEASTER DORY KIT FOR FREE AT THE SHOW!  Just fill out the raffle ticket in our booth;  no purchase necessary, and you don't have to be present when we draw the winner on Sunday at noon.  The winner may drive the kit away, or have it shipped from CLC at the standard rate ($114 in the lower 48).  We're raffling off the standard rowing version of the complete kit, worth $1250 plus shipping.

The festival is loaded with wooden boat-themed talks and demonstrations, all free with admission. John Harris will be leading two fiberglass-over-wood seminars and a talk on pocket cruiser design.  John's schedule is here.

Directions?  Go to Port Townsend. You can't miss it.

Manning the booth this year will be John Harris, Kerry Miller, Maggie Montgomery, Matt Cordrey, Matt Crooks, and Larry Froley.  Lots of boats for you to see, including the new Northeaster Dory, Shearwater Double and the Kaholo Stand Up Paddleboard.

Interested in sliding seat rowing?  Then here's an offer you shouldn't miss.  The 9'6" oars required on sliding seat boats are wicked expensive to ship.  $99 in the Lower 48, to be exact.  We were able to cram a sheaf of those oars into the trailer.  So if you want to buy a set of sculls in Port Townsend, you can pick them up there FREE of shipping.  There is a limited supply, so call us right away to reserve a pair.

Here's the list of boats we'll have with us at the show.  Try them all, and bring your own CLC boat for show and tell!
